8-Day Mount Kinyeti Expedition Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Juba
Arrival in Juba, hotel check-in, and briefing.
Day 2: Drive to Katire
Travel via Torit to Katire village at the base of the Imatong Mountains.
Day 3: Trek to Base Camp A
Begin hiking at 6:00 AM with guides and porters.
Day 4: Trek to Base Camp B
Continue ascent through dense forest zones.
Day 5: Summit Day
Early morning climb to the summit of Mount Kinyeti, then descend to Base Camp A.
Day 6: Descend to Katire
Return to the village and overnight stay.
Day 7: Return to Juba
Drive back via Torit with a stopover.
Day 8: Departure
Transfer to the airport for international departure.
How to Reach Mount Kinyeti
- Juba → Torit: 3–4 hours by road
- Torit → Katire: 1–2 hours (4x4 recommended)
- Katire is the main trekking base village
Road conditions vary depending on the season and rainfall.
Best Time to Visit
November to March (Dry Season)
