Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls & Evening Game Drive

Depart early from Kampala and drive north towards Murchison Falls National Park.

Enjoy scenic countryside views, passing rural villages and savannah landscapes. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and head out for an evening game drive.

Day 2: Boat Cruise & Top of the Falls Hike – Return to Kampala

Start your morning with a boat safari along the River Nile. This is one of the highlights of the trip.

Along the riverbanks, you’ll encounter:

  • Elephants and buffalo drinking
  • Rich birdlife, including the rare shoebill

Itenary

Day 1
  • 6:00 AM

    Transfer from Kampala To Murchison falls, Boat cruise. Early morning after breakfast ultimate wild safaris driver guide will pick you for 2 day Uganda Safari tour. The driver will transfer you heading northward to Murchison Falls National Park through Masindi.

    Before Masindi there is an optional visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a large preserve where Rhinos are bred in an effort to restock Murchison Falls National Park with Rhinos (the last one was shot in 1982).It’s just to make you aware of it - but it’s not something to consider on this 2-Day program as it may lead us miss out on other scheduled park activities.

  • 12:00 PM

    On the arrival at the park entry you’ll be guided to top of the falls that make Murchison Falls National Park so famous. It’s a place for most memorable pictures and a taking in of the sounds and sights, not missing the rainbow that’s created by the mist of the falls.Murchison top of the fall is spectacular, being so close, hearing the roar and seeing the splendor from the top is such a wonderful experience.

    It’s “A sneak peek into Heaven”, you realize “the anger of the Nile”. A true master piece of nature. In a small space a million cubic meters of water from the Nile squeeze themselves through the Albertine gorge as they make their way towards Egypt. The great river is 50 meters wide and goes through a 7-meter-wide gorge plunging down 45 meters creating that roaring sound that will stay with you. Something you will never forget and there is something about standing alongside the mighty River Nile. There after you’ll be transferred to your booked lodge and check in.

    Next Program of the day After lunch you’ll be taken to one of the major highlights of the tour, motorized boat ride on the Nile River to the most powerful falls in the world, viewing crocodiles, the many hippos along the bank and in the river, the birds, monkeys, buffaloes, elephants and a lot not to be missed, finally off to bottom of the falls.

    Its marked one of the best activity in Murchison falls national park. You can also opt to do hiking from the water's edge up to the top of the falls if you missed it at the time of arrival into the park. This hiking activity can cost you some few dollars and its worth doing. A short evening game drive of (1 or 1½ hrs.) will depend on the time you’ll return from the boat cruise and how strong you are feeling. There after your driver guide will transfer you to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 2
  • 6:00 AM

    Morning Game Safari tour and Transfer back to Kampala
    waking up early morning for breakfast and immediately after set off for a game drive across the savannah, along Lake Albert Delta, abundant wildlife as you move slowly as the sun rises. The sunrise will welcome you to Africa.

    Basing on what you’ll be sensing, feeling and seeing around it will not be replicated anywhere else in the world, the world has only one Murchison Falls with its birds, Lions, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes, humorous appearing warthogs, you’ll be in Africa and in its heart of safari tours. After the incredible game drive, you’ll cross the Nile then set off to Masindi, where you’ll have a stopover for Lunch and then back on the road for a late afternoon arrival in Kampala.
