Established in 1952, Queen Elizabeth National Park covers approximately 1,978 square kilometers.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Game Drive

Depart early from Kampala and travel west towards Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Enjoy a stop at the Equator for photos before continuing through Uganda’s countryside.

Upon arrival, head out for a game drive in Kasenyi Plains, one of the best wildlife viewing areas in the park.

Expect to see:

  • Elephants
  • Buffaloes
  • Uganda kob
  • Lions (including tree-climbing lions in some sectors)
  • Warthogs and waterbucks

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.


Day 2: Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise & Return

After breakfast, enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward.

This is one of the best boat safaris in Africa.

Itenary

Day 1
  • 6:00 AM

    Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
    Wake up in the early morning and have breakfast then our driver guide will transfer you from Kampala to westwards through Uganda’s beautiful green countryside to Queen Elizabeth National park. This journey will take 6-8 hours with stopovers at areas of tourist attraction such as the Uganda Equator for an opportunity to stand in two hemispheres at the same time.

  • 1:00 pm

    Ultimate wild safaris driver guide will then continue driving through the savannah grasslands with lots of banana plantations and several herds of local long horned Ankole cattle endemic to this part of the country.

  • 04:00 PM

    You’ll arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon time for a launch boat cruise along the amazing Kazinga channel to see at close range the aquatic animals like Hippos, Buffaloes, Crocodiles and elephants bathing at the banks of the channel, not missing out a number of bird species on the water banks especially the famous Shoebill, pelican and Jacana. Thereafter you’ll be transferred to your booked hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
  • 06:30 AM

    Early morning game drive and drive back to Kampala
    Early morning around (6.30am) you’ll have your breakfast and then set off for morning game drive, an amazing experience to spot the animals in natural habitats. While on this drive expect see the famous Big Five; Elephant, Buffaloes, Lions, Bush bucks, Kobs, Giant forest hog, Hyenas leopards, antelopes, and Waterbucks as well as birds. There after you’ll be transferred back to Kampala, lunch will be on the way back.

    We had a group travel (5) with my friends to queen elizabeth national park, i liked the tree climbing lions and a group of elephants not leaving out the amazing landscapes, i can say it was a very successful trip, i do recommend .
