Detailed Itinerary Highlights

Day 1–2: Kampala – Jinja – Source of the Nile

Travel from Kampala to Jinja via Mabira Forest. Visit the Source of the Nile and enjoy optional activities like boat rides or white-water rafting.


Day 3–5: Murchison Falls National Park Safari

Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking.

    Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
    On your arrival, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel for dinner and relaxation as well as a briefing about your tour the next day.

Day 2

    Transfer from Kampala to Jinja.
    After an early breakfast, you will embark on the drive to Jinja. Along the journey, visit the Mabira forest (nature guided walk on that day. You will go and visit the source of the River Nile, the longest river in Africa. You will enjoy warm lunch at the source of the river Nile and a night in Jinja.

Day 3

    Transfer from Jinja to Murchison falls park, Via Rhino Sanctuary at Ziwa.
    On this day, our company guide will meet you at your hotel/ address, then drive you to one of the world’s most powerful waterfalls. Along the way, visit the Rhino Sanctuary. You will enjoy a hot lunch during this short break. Later proceed to Murchison falls national park and rest at the booked lodge. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4
  • 08:00 AM

    Game viewing and boat cruise.
    On this day, take pleasure in a morning game drive towards the Albert and Victoria Nile and experience a great deal of wildlife and birds. Along the way, look out for herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, the Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species. Later on in the day after lunch, embark on a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls.

    This 3-hour cruise from Para safari lodge is a rewarding trip that will expose you to many various wildlife species like hippos, crocodiles, elephants (though quite occasional along this side), and a variety of the birdlife that may include the African fish eagles. You will then return to the lodge for a wonderful dinner and overnight:

    Transfer From Murchison falls to Hoima.
    With warm lunch en-route. And stop over break, to avoid too much long day drive. Enjoy a great view of rift valley escarpments. This equally helps you to minimize driving time. Dinner and overnight at the booked lodge.

    Transfer from Hoima to Kibaale forest park.
    After early morning breakfast, prepare to transfer to Kibale forest national park. You will enjoy en-route lunch. And arrive in the evening at the booked lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 7
  • 08:00 AM

    Chimpanzee trekking and Nature walk.
    Today the forest opens its doors for sensational chimp tracking. Kibaale Forest is reputable for having the greatest variety and the highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rain-forest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black and white colobus monkey, and many others.
    After lunch, we transfer to Bigodi for a completely different walk. Here you will have the choice to join a guided Swamp Walk through the Wetland Sanctuary, which is famous for the many birds and primates that live in this area. Alternatively, you may decide to go for a Village Walk. Accompanied by a guide who can tell you everything about the traditional customs and lifestyle of the inhabitants, you will follow the village path and visit a primary school, Catholic Church, traditional homesteads, learn about the crops and listen to the storytelling of Mzee (elderly man), thereafter return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8
  • 08:00 AM

    Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Visit Mount Rwenzori Foothills.
    Today you can enjoy the majestic Rwenzori Mountains in their full glory on a guided walk in the foothills of the 'Mountains of the Moon'. As well as enjoying the scenic views, we will get a glimpse into local village life and meet some of the locals and visit a waterfall. After this walk, we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we spend the next two nights. This is where you will enjoy sightseeing for wildlife. Finally dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9
  • 08:00 A.M

    Morning game drive and Afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel.
    At the park, you shall enjoy a game drive towards the Kasenyi plains which may reward you with sightings of the various animals like huge herds of the Ugandan kob, elephants, leopard, lion, buffalos, warthogs and antelope, etc.
    Later after lunch, you will embark on a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. This is very rewarding with aquatic animals like crocodiles, hippos, and many bird species like black bee carmine beef eaters and black beef eaters, Lesser Swamp-Warbler, Striated Heron among others. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10
  • 08:00 A.M

    Transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Forest.
    After breakfast we head towards the south, passing the southern sector of the National Park. This part is called Ishasha and is famous for the tree-climbing lions.
    After a short game drive in this area, we continue to Bwindi. While driving through the verdant countryside, you will pass traditional homesteads and enjoy panoramic views. In the afternoon we will arrive in Bwindi National Park, the home of the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 11
  • 08:00 A.M

    Gorilla tracking.
    After morning breakfast, you will get ready, along with your packed lunches to embark on the lifetime memorable experience in this magnificent forest for gorilla tracking.

    The trail you use may reward you with exciting moments of the giant mountain gorillas in Uganda this will be a reward of the ultimate gorilla experience’ as well as other primates that are in the forest. This may take you about 4-5 hours in the jungle. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12
  • 08:00 A.M

    Transfer From Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi.
    After breakfast, we depart to Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa. The drive itself is very scenic through small villages, coffee, and banana plantations, and rolling hills. Upon arrival, there should be ample time to relax, visit the local village, or explore the surroundings by traditional canoe and finally dinner and overnight.

Day 13

    Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo.
    Today we head to Lake Mburo National Park, enjoying lunch en route. Lake Mburo is the only National Park in Uganda where you can experience a game viewing on foot and if we have time this evening we will enjoy a game walk or the next day. Finally dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 14
  • 08:00 A.M

    Game viewing and afternoon boat ride.
    After early morning breakfast, enjoy a guided game viewing in the park, The green acacia woodland surrounding the lake harbors a dense population of zebras, warthog, Buffalo, Impala, and various others grazers, including the last surviving Ugandan population of eland, the largest African Antelope. Later return for lunch at the lodge, thereafter in the afternoon embark on a boat ride on Lake Mburo. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

    Return back to Kampala.
    Take a relaxed drive back to Kampala, you will enjoy warm lunch along the way, Arrive in the late evening, therefore no activity can be scheduled on this day. Drop off at your hotel for dinner and overnight.

    Kampala city tour and departure.
    You will be led by your guide to enjoy Kampala city tour, visit main markets, street taxi parks places of worship, and Kampala's craft shops, Uganda Museum. Later after lunch, either you will be dropped at the hotel address or proceed to the airport for departure, hence calling the end of your Uganda experience.
